Amanda Roley

Amanda graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University in the spring of 2014. She now works as a political reporter in Helena, MT for KFBB/ABC FOX Montana News. Amanda's interest in news sprouted from her determination to share the latest news and help the public become informed citizens.

During her time as a reporter for Murrow News 8, Amanda was honored with a College Student Emmy, earned a scholarship for the Radio Television Digital news Association (RTDNA), and received a regional award from the Society of Professional Journalists.

She also worked as a news reporter for Pullman Radio (NewsTalk/KQQQ) writing stories on city council meetings and voicing news updates for Pullman and Moscow. The beat she enjoys covering most is local government. She finds it's the best way to get involved in the community and always be aware of important issues.

Her role model in journalism is in fact Edward R. Murrow, and she hopes to become as great a journalist as he. Amanda hopes to one day return to her home in Washington state and eventually sit at the anchor;s desk in Seattle. She enjoys doing fun runs, attending baseball and football games (especially Cougar football!), hiking, and traveling to new places.
