Laurel is a transfer student at Washington State University, where she will be a junior in the fall. Coming to WSU from the community college she attended for one year led her to seek out new opportunities like study abroad, and she was passionate about traveling to London. Laurel was involved in video production classes and student news broadcasts in both middle and high school and plans to minor in Communication. The In the Footsteps of Murrow backpack journalism program will allow Laurel to use and improve upon the skills from her Communication courses while learning more about a fascinating WSU alumni, and traveling in a city she loves. Laurel is a student in the Carson College of Business and she majors in Management Information Systems.
