John Paxson is the news director for Northwest Public Radio/The Murrow College, a faculty member and a reformed rock hunter. He has worked in the news business 40-plus years, first as a radio correspondent with the Voice of America and later as an editor, producer, manager and executive with CBS News in New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. He left CBS after a decade as Vice President/Europe and London Bureau Chief--the same position held by Ed Murrow.
